Google Business Profile checklist for a service business in Nepal
A straightforward maintenance routine for businesses that want their Google Business Profile to accurately represent their services.
Choose categories based on the work customers hire you for
Your primary category should describe the core service customers receive, not simply every skill your team has. Add only relevant secondary categories. This helps Google and customers understand what your business is a good match for.
Review the category choice whenever your main service offering changes, but avoid frequent changes just to chase a keyword.
Complete the information a customer needs
Add your accurate business name, address or service area, local phone number, hours, website and services. Keep special hours current when holidays or events affect availability.
Use real photos of your office, team, completed work and local activities. They help a potential customer recognise that the business is genuine before they call.
Ask for reviews the right way
After completing work, send the customer a simple review link and ask for an honest description of their experience. Never offer incentives, write a review for a customer or create reviews from accounts that did not use the service.
Reply to every review with a short, personal response. A reply can clarify your service and shows prospective customers that the business is active.
Connect profile work to your website
The profile cannot replace a useful website. Link it to the most relevant page, and make sure that page shows the same core contact details and gives a customer enough information to take the next step.
Track calls, website visits and direction requests in the profile performance report alongside website enquiries. This reveals whether visibility is producing meaningful business activity.
